An application for improving and analyzing spatial ability
FORSpatial is a system for spatial ability training in a virtual environment. It contains a novel scheme and principles for creating tasks involving spatial visualization and mental rotation through flexible combinations of shapes and letters. FORSpatial training application is embedded with the logging function and can record users’ interaction and time stamps. The current downloadable application version is in desktop VR environment and the components involved are made publicly available on the unity asset store. We encourage other researchers to use the application to enhance spatial ability, or the components and the source files for creating their own training tools to study spatial ability.
